About the Owner

The driving force behind Up Front Settlements is Ed Benavides, the owner and lead Public Adjuster. With over 20 years of experience working for major insurance companies, Ed has a deep understanding of the industry's inner workings. In 2011, after seeing firsthand the challenges many people face when navigating the claims process, Ed decided to take his knowledge and expertise to the other side — as a Public Adjuster.

That same year, Ed founded his own public adjusting firm and has been serving clients with dedication and integrity ever since. With nearly 15 years of experience running his own company, Ed is passionate about advocating for those who need it most — homeowners and business owners who have suffered property damage. His unique combination of insider knowledge from his time in the insurance industry and his commitment to clients has made Up Front Settlements a trusted name in both residential and commercial claims.

Ed's approach is personal, hands-on, and client-focused. He understands the stress and confusion that can come with property damage and insurance claims, and works tirelessly to ensure every client gets the settlement they deserve. When you work with Ed, you're working with someone who has the expertise, experience, and compassion to guide you through the claims process with confidence.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Who is Up Front Settlements?

Up Front Settlements is a public adjusting firm based in Denver, Colorado, serving property owners across the Front Range and Rocky Mountain region. We represent policyholders — not insurance companies — and advocate for homeowners and business owners to receive fair, maximized settlements after storm, fire, water, and other covered property losses.

  • What experience does your team bring to my claim?

Our founder, Ed Benavides, spent more than 20 years working for major insurance companies before founding Up Front Settlements in 2011. That insider knowledge of how insurers evaluate and settle claims gives our clients a real advantage when navigating the claims process and negotiating a fair settlement.

  • Why should I hire Up Front Settlements instead of handling my claim on my own?

Insurance policies are complex, and insurance companies have experienced professionals working to limit payouts. We level the playing field by interpreting your policy, thoroughly documenting your damage, preparing accurate estimates, and negotiating on your behalf - all while keeping the process as stress-free as possible for you.

  • What is your claims process like?

We follow a proven workflow: an initial consultation, property inspection, policy review, damage documentation, estimate preparation, claim submission support, negotiation with your insurance company, and finally settlement resolution. We handle the complex work and keep you informed every step of the way.

  • How do I get started?

Simply reach out to schedule a free, no-obligation consultation. Whether you're preparing to file a new claim or dealing with an underpaid or denied claim, our team will review your situation, explain your options, and represent your interests from start to finish.
